Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 August 2026

This policy explains what personal information JB Football collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it. It covers this website and the enquiry form on it.

Who we are

JB Football is a youth football coaching business based in Grays, Essex, run by Jack and Beau. We are the "data controller" for the information described here, which means we decide how and why it is used.

You can reach us at [email protected] or on 07883 365642.

What we collect

When you submit the enquiry form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Which sessions you're interested in
  • Your message, if you write one — this is free text, so it contains whatever you choose to tell us
  • Whether you agreed to hear from us about offers, and the exact wording you agreed to
  • Your IP address, used to limit how many enquiries can be sent from one connection and to protect the form from abuse

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking software on this site, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

Information about children

We coach young players, but the enquiry form is intended for parents and guardians — please don't ask your child to fill it in. The details we ask for are yours, not your child's.

The message box invites you to tell us about your child's age and experience so we can suggest the right sessions. Please share only what is needed for that. In particular, please do not send medical, health, disability or any other sensitive details through this form — tell us in person or by phone once your child starts, so we can record it appropriately.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

What forLegal basis
Replying to your enquiry and arranging sessions Taking steps at your request before entering into a contract
Sending you a confirmation that we received your enquiry Our legitimate interest in confirming your message arrived
Protecting the form from spam and abuse Our legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure
Sending you news, availability and offers Your consent — only if you ticked the box, and you can withdraw it at any time

How long we keep it

Enquiries are deleted automatically 24 months after they are submitted. If you become a customer, we may keep records for longer where we have to, for example for accounting purposes. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.

Who else is involved

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We use these service providers to run the website and handle enquiries:

ProviderWhat they do
Amazon Web Services Hosts the website, stores enquiries and sends our emails. Enquiry data is stored in AWS's London region.
Cloudflare Provides our domain, delivers the site, runs the "are you human?" check on the form, and forwards email sent to our address.
Google We read enquiry notifications in Gmail, so the details you send reach Google. Google also serves the fonts used on this site, which means your browser contacts Google when you load a page.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, they are required to protect it to UK standards through approved safeguards.

Cookies

We don't set any cookies of our own, and there is no analytics or advertising on this site. The "are you human?" check on the enquiry form may store a small amount of data in your browser to tell real visitors from bots. It is used only for that.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct anything that's wrong
  • Ask us to delete it
  • Ask us to restrict or stop using it
  • Object to us using it where we rely on legitimate interests
  • Ask us to transfer it to someone else
  • Withdraw your consent to marketing at any time

To do any of these, email [email protected]. We'll respond within one month. There's no charge.

If you'd rather not hear from us about offers, just say so in a reply — you don't need to give a reason.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
